Thank you to everybody who supported our local strawberry growers. The 2012 season can be summed up with a slow and difficult beginning yet ...
Around 30 producers have been growing fresh and processed strawberries on around 600 acres in the fertile Fraser Valley for over 30 years. Typically, the June bearing varieties, like 'Totem', 'Rainier' and 'Puget Reliance' are available from early June till early July, while the day-neutral varieties, like Albion is available till early September.
With this fabulous weather, strawberry plants are flowering with abundance
